The Orthodox Bookmobile

Years ago, Basileios and I traveled with our good friends to Libertyville, IL, for the glorification feast of Saint Mardarije of Libertyville.

On the way there, our friend Rajko said, "With all the Potamitis' books in here, this is not just an automobile—it's 'The Orthodox Bookmobile!'" And this is how the Orthodox Bookmobile was born, on the road between two Orthodox Monasteries: Saint Sava's in Libertyville, IL, and Saint John Chrysostom's in Kenosha, MI.

We love meeting you and hearing from you.

Again this fall, 2026, the Orthodox Bookmobile is hitting the road. We are crossing the Missouri-Illinois state line to head to the East Coast, and, God willing, we are considering invitations to visit any parish/monastery/metropolis between Missouri and the East Coast.
